Title: Employee Family Assistance Program Counsellor
This position entails providing direct clinical support to distressed employees and the coordination of trauma support to employees following major incidents; extreme violence e.g. shooting, subway suicide or sudden death within the workplace. My client population represents union, staff and management.
Prior experience: 1976 to 2000
I have worked in the field of Addictions and Corrections in a clinical support role and as a manager. In this field I dealt with a high risk population and played a support role to staff in dealing with incidents of sudden death and violence impacting on staff and client family members.
